A child dies every 15 seconds from poor sanitation and water supply.

Preventable water related diseases kill more than 5 Million People every year.


80% of sickness and death among children is caused by unsafe water. This enormous problem is growing and statistics do not begin to tell the whole story. Every person who dies is someone’s son, daughter, brother, sister, mother or father.

WATER IS…
The greatest single factor contributing to the health and welfare of those in developing countries is clean, safe water. Without potable water, there can be no sustainable development.

A HEALTH PROBLEM
More than 80% of the world’s diseases can be attributed to unsafe water sources, sanitation and hygiene.

AN ECONOMIC PROBLEM
The earning power and productivity of an individual is drastically reduced because of water related illnesses and time spent gathering water.

Poverty, poor health and lack of sanitation and potable water cause many children to frequently miss school, particularly girls.
